Those lawyers who are members of the VIRA, satisfy stiff requirements.
The members have completed an intensive post-graduate course in information technology law given by the Grotius Academy. In addition, they have had extensive practical experience (at least seven years) and are also actually involved in information technology law.
VIRA members regularly share information with each other. This is not merely confined to lawyers but also occurs through consultation with the representatives of judicial bodies and experts in the field of ICT. As such, they are always up-to-date with the latest developments.
Together with the Grotius Academy, the VIRA arranges (in principle every year) a post-graduate specialist course in information technology law, which is also open to those lawyers who are unable or unwilling to become members of the VIRA.
